  • 4.25 stars. Entrance fee is 80k and it comes with coffee or iced tea. It's much bigger than I thought. The artwork is magnificent and is just enough (not too much). International and traditional paintings. There are many things to see here and the grounds are beautiful. Perfect for a short afternoon and it was relatively quiet around lunchtime. The cafe is also nice. Food is priced well and really tasty.
  • Great collection of Balinese art to see the evolution through recent centuries. The facilities, buildings and gardens are very nice and we even managed to see the school girls practising Balinese dance as part of the foundation work they do. It was probably the least touristy and more cultural visit we've managed to sample during our trip. There is a complimentary drink and we got a coconut pancake as well on the inside cafe overlooking some of the gardens. Definitely worth the money.
  • Saw some interesting art and learned a bit more about Balinese culture. Not a 'must do', but I enjoyed the visit. It's set in some beautiful gardens. Entrance is 80k per person but you get a free tea or coffee of your choosing. It came with Balinese coconut cake which was lovely!
  • What an amazing place to visit! Highly recommended to anyone interested in learning about Balinese art, and also Balinese history through art. Sometimes ARMA hosts events, I went there for the indigenous celebration, wow, mind-blowing!
  • A nice place to visit if you have some extra time to kill in Ubud - the art exhibited here is not really something that will blow you away.

Where to stay in Ubud

Sayan Valley offers luxury accommodations atmospherically designed to fit the look and feel of the natural surroundings, with infinity pools, wooden lodges, and yoga-ready verandas aplenty. Less expensive alternatives are also available, albeit with fewer amenities and a little less isolation. If you wish to stay in Ubud itself, look for charming and inexpensive rooms rented by local families (with many including breakfast in the cost), or consider the pricier single-occupancy apartments.
