Sand Sea, Tengger Caldera

Categories: Deserts, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
4.1/5 based on 120+ reviews on the web
A protected nature reserve since 1919, Sand Sea represents a flat desert area made of volcanic ash and surrounding Mount Bromo, an active volcano. Visitors usually walk or rent an all-terrain vehicle to cross the desert and stop at the viewpoint on the volcano for photo ops. If you take a bike, be prepared for a struggle on the wind-blown sand. Try wriggling the handlebars to gain some traction. Thrill seekers can also ask their drivers about sandboarding, a way to ride a board pulled by a vehicle. • Prerequisite for the discovery of Mount Bromo. After points of view to make beautiful pictures, direction sand sea to cross on foot, without 4 x 4 or horses. No need. Very nice, calm feeling if you have the chance to not cross hundreds of 4 x 4 in the morning. Anyway, come on it's top.
