Sand Sea, Tengger Caldera
(4.2/5 based on 130+ reviews on the web)
A protected nature reserve since 1919, Sand Sea represents a flat desert area made of volcanic ash and surrounding Mount Bromo, an active volcano. Visitors usually walk or rent an all-terrain vehicle to cross the desert and stop at the viewpoint on the volcano for photo ops. If you take a bike, be prepared for a struggle on the wind-blown sand. Try wriggling the handlebars to gain some traction. Thrill seekers can also ask their drivers about sandboarding, a way to ride a board pulled by a vehicle. • We went through an entry called secret but all Globetrotters know, and we then walked for more than an hour before arrival at the entrance of the volcano, which avoids the charge admission but it is impressive to see the extent of this sea to the material of the floor. A Advisor and you will have wonderful views over the volcano, which will grow again and again
