Ruin Religious Site
Admire the intricate stone carvings and various statues and shrines at Gunung Kawi Sebatu Temple. A Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu, the preserver god who rules over water, this hidden gem features grounds filled with natural springs and lotus ponds inhabited by golden carp. You can feed the fish, roam the lush forest landscape, and even drink the pure cold water from the springs. Be prepared to descend quite a lot of steps to get to the site, but once you do you will be rewarded with lovely surroundings and views of the rice fields. Note that women will need to wear a sarong, and men a sash, to enter. • Really worth a trip. Doesn't take long to see but it is peaceful and beautiful. Use the water to cleanse your head. 15,000 entrance includes sarongs. Car parking 2,000, and toilets are charged.  more »
  • Yes, there are a lot of stairs, but myself and 3 small children ( aged 3, 4 and 7) all managed it and in my opinion the effort is definitely worth it. We all had our own sarongs and entry price was pr...  more »
  • A beautiful temple perfect for a holy cleansing and purification ritual. It is near Ponodk Sebatu Villa and Puri Gangga. A quiet and fairly remote place, less crowded that Tirta Empul.  more »

  • Beautiful and tickets are very affordable. Always bargain with the sellers on the side and I will get them as low as I can and when they refuse to go lower, walk. They'll call you back and you'll get a price you want. Try to ignore the conversion rate. Just because it's cheap in dollars or Euros doesn't mean that you aren't paying double or triple the worth.
  • Amazing place. Specially those stone sculptures. Entry ticket is 15k idr each. Also there is parking ticket of 2k. You better be in your good shape for those many steps.
  • Beauty everywhere! Be prepared to walk. There's quite a bit to see, and this was one of our top 3 stops in Bali.
  • Ancient temple nearby Ubud area. On the to the temple have a nice rice terrace view as well. Recommended place to visit in Bali
