See an ancient Hindu temple at Ulun Danu Beratan Temple. Built in 1663 on the shores of Lake Bratan with manmade islands stretching out into the lake, the water temple cuts a figure against the surrounding mountainous landscape and hallowed waters. Admire the delicate interiors of the temple buildings, and place an offering to the Balinese water, lake, and river goddess Dewi Danu, who is particularly esteemed here because of the importance of Lake Bratan as a source of irrigation in the area. Before you leave, take time to appreciate the fertility and natural abundance of the area by having a freshly cooked local meal at the on-site restaurant. Put Ulun Danu Beratan Temple and other Tabanan attractions into our Tabanan road trip planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • Ah, I love the view here. And on the way here you can see beautiful scenery along the road. The air also feels good here. Nice place to take a picture or two or a dozens. There are some photographers available too, they can take your picture for a reasonable price and have them printed right away. I recommend them because they know the best angle to take the pictures 👍🏻
  • The temple is beautifully situated in the water, makes for good pictures. Another highlight is the speed boat ride that takes you around the lake for 10 mins.. Temple entry ticket is costly. Speed boat is value for money. Big garden area is maintained around the temple. There is a restaurant also inside that offers buffet with good vegetarian options at a cheap price. The Tempe area gets covered with fog/clouds post 3 pm. So better visit before then.
  • A picturesque temple on the lake Danau Beratan at an altitude of 1200 meters above sea level. Pura Ulung Danu is the second most important temple in Bali and was built in 1633. On the territory of the temple there is a very beautiful park with an area for children. It is quite cold here and it can occasionally rain, so it is recommended to wear warm clothes and have an umbrella or a raincoat with you. Entrance to the temple will cost you 75k + parking. Also here you can rent a boat for a trip on the lake and an absolutely unique view of the temple from the lake.
  • One of the most serene and beautiful places I've ever visited. I've loved my visit there. Get there early and you get a nice sunrise and no tourists. My driver and I got there before the sun came out that day. It was so worth it.
  • I'm not sure if this is called a temple complex because in this area there are many small shrines in separate areas. This place is very large, there is a very large lake, I don't know if this lake has any circulation but it makes the view here more wonderful. I remember I came here on a festival day, a large group of people came in to worship. And apparently there was a boating festival on the lake here. My unforgettable memory here is that I lost my family, it took us a long time to find each other. But while I was lost, I had many interesting feelings of my own. The guests who come here and the people here are very friendly, they helped me capture some moments when I was alone.❤ 👍
