Experience extensive views of a UNESCO-designated Cultural Landscape at Jatiluwih Green Land. Terraced rice fields cut smooth contours across the hilly region, while dotted palm trees add to the nature of the scenery. Take a stroll through the landscape and admire the traditional irrigation system still used by the farmers here. As a protected area, the panorama remains largely unspoiled despite its popularity. Be sure to bring your camera to capture this quintessentially Indonesian view. Magnificent rice field, ticket entrance is only 15k. The tracking route sprawled around the whole area. Very good to refresh your mind, seek tranquility or simply meditate. Definitely fascinated with its lush greenery and colossal view of mountains. Encountered some friendly farmers during the tracking. There are plenty of nice affordable restaurants to relax enjoy the whole ambiance. Lucky that we happened to see the huge rainbow after the rainfall. This UNESCO heritage deserves more exposure and visit from people.
Very nice place, up in the hills. When we were there it had not many tourist and no traffic at all (December 2019). The farmer still work like in the old days. They grow normal-, black- and red rice. So it makes sense to buy some rice direct from the producer. From the red rice yo can also make Redrice Tea. :-)
The best place to inhale fresh air in Tabanan. So much greenery to see. So many things to experience: trekking, cycling, sightseeing. Definitely a place worth to visit.
I love to ride to the Jatuwih Rice Terraces on my motorcycle. Beautiful spot and I was with great people which made it better. This was the destination I chose for my Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride 2020. I chose well
