  • The most amazing zoo I've ever seen period. Went with a few of my friends and their kids to see the elephants and I really didn't want to go however it was astounding. Many animals run free and wild and u can pet thm or feed them. A wide variety of animals and knowledgeable staff. Got to ride an elephant, feed elephants, lions, tigers, crocodiles and deer from my own hand. Absolutely would recommend to anyone!!
  • We hadn't been here on our previous visits to Bali and we were very pleasantly surprised with what we encountered. Once entering the Zoo we were faced with wslking through deer which was lovely. I felt the elephant ride was expensive but was a great experience. We were impressed with all of the new development which was clear when we visited the older enclosures . A great place to visit and take the family.
  • Nicely planned layout. It even has a small water park so you can cool down with the children. Around this time (June 2018) there were about 6 "under maintenance/upgrade" enclosures. Loved the deer feeding / petting area. You even get a chance to feed the lions and tigers for a small fee. Lots of areas where you can touch, and pose with animals. Plenty of animal interaction. Didn't like the signage ... not all enclosure had informative signage. Was not too sure about the elephant walk experience, I'm sure it would have been fun, but I've read quite a bit about how animals are mistreated into submission. I'm not saying Bali Zoo mistreats her residents. Just did not want to encourage animal rides that are hurt the animals.
  • Took my 3yr old for breakfast with the Orangutans. Enjoyed a decent buffet breakfast - eggs freshly cooked while you wait (a few seconds!), fresh juice, pastries etc. Two young orangutans wait in roped off section with zookeepers for guests to be brought up to meet and have photo taken with them. Not allowed to touch them but the orangutans are likely to reach out and touch you. Elephants are also close by for you to meet while having breakfast. For an additional cost of a few dollars you can buy a basket of vegetables/fruit to feed the elephants.
  • Amazing experience. The animals are so tame and beautifully kept. We were hoping to see a Komodo dragon, but they aren't on display at this time. But that did not dampen the entire experience. One of the best zoos that I have ever visited.
