  • So Easy if you want to go to this Place, just ask Becak "traditional bike with 3 tire", you want to go to Kraton. maybe around 10-15 minutes from Batik Village Kauman. but dont forget to ask them to g...  more »
  • The place is wide and big, it has a lot of traditional, cultural and historic items for show in the museum. The people are friendly but beware of illegal charges against tourists.  more »
  • We walked the 700m to view Kraton only to find it closed at 4pm. There doesn't appear from the outside a lot to see but that then could belt a small treasure yet to be uncovered.  more »

  • It's good enough to enjoy the traditional atmosphere. Here, you can see the holly buffalo own by its palace. You can also enjoy the culinary, especially tengkleng or selat solo (the special food of palace family). Try this!
  • This keraton or "king's palace" with blue colour as its main theme, is good though. Many history in museum. But it's very bad maintenance.
  • Currently closed for tourists (as of 5 April 2017) because of the internal conflict within the royal family. Now the keraton is surrounded by the military and the police supposedly in preparation of the coronation of the new king on end of April 2017 but as I said, there is an internal conflict so they must be dealing with the safety. The market surrounding it however is worth a visit- cheap things are sold here.
  • Too bad many collections are lost. Not well maintained, not so clean.
  • this place good for take picture, but the museum so dusty and dirty
