Baluran National Park, Situbondo

4.1
#1 of 6 in Things to do in Situbondo
Experience an Indonesian version of the safari at Baluran National Park, a savannah grassland preservation area overlooked by a dormant volcano. While wandering around the wilderness you might see various monkeys, wild pigs, and leopards. At the main watering hole you can find grazing deer and the endangered Java buffalo. Admire the diversity of vegetation, with over 400 plant species recorded on the grounds. Observe the animals from a tower in the middle of the park, or relax in the mangrove forest or on the fine sandy beach. You will have to bring your own food, but you can get drinks at the small shops on site. If you want to extend your stay, note that camping here is permitted. • I visited in the afternoon and in the rainy season, from the gateway to the savannas, 12 km by road conditions damaged shg temput time using cars more than 1 hour. All the way see kupu2, Partridge, bird etc that the colour is gorgeous and tdk are found in urban areas. Up in the savanna landscape expanses of green grass background with extensive reply. Travel out of bama coast to the gate around the clock 5 sorean and we see an awful lot of hordes of monkey, Peacock, and the bull out for foraging in the observing savanna areas. But ill advised for night out too because road access to the gates of Dim.

  • We come at a time when the rainy season so hewannya not much visible. Our stay at homestay outside forest area with a budget of around 50-100 thousand per person/night. To surround baluran forest area, you need to rent a car with a budget of approximately 400-500 thousand per day. If you entered the forest area, should berhati2 with hordes of monkeys who vied for food/drinks.

  • Baluran National Park is located in Situbondo, East Java, is one of the five most beautiful savannas in Indonesia. No wonder, Baluran is also known as The Little Africa of Java. The travelers by car must be slowly and enter the zone of Baluran National Park. It takes 30-minute drive from the gate of the national park passing through a stony and undulating road took the group to Wisma Bekol. Baluran National Park is easily accessible by land because it is located near the northern coastal route of East Java and about 250 km from Surabaya. If you had visited you would have never regret!!
