  • Beautiful temple Hindu North of Bali, located by the sea, which commemorates the arrival in the 16th century of the Javanese priest Nirarha. The legend says that when Danghyang Nirarha arrived here and went into the jungle, he was escorted by an army of monkeys, and that after building the temple, they became guardians for his sake. Is that they are considered sacred and fed by the priests. "Long-tailed macaques" are everywhere: on the car park along the main road, in the Woods behind the temple as well as inside the temple itself, where they lie in wait for the right moment to steal the offerings. This teaches that some altars are screened to avoid damage. A Council, keep out of their reach everything that they could steal you because they are mischievous and down. Pulaki temple is surrounded by several other temples located a few kilometers, and is the center of a complex called Pesanakan. The visit of the temple is obtained in Exchange for the payment of a contribution, and wearing a sarong is required (provided at the entrance). The door of the temple, made of black stone was built in 1983, and after a religious ceremony, was blessed by the holy water from several other temples on the island of Java and Lombok. Many ceremonies are held on this site and it is possible to attend. Before entering the temple grounds everyone is invited by a Balinese priest to receive a blessing which consists of the application of a very small sticky preparation of grains of rice in the middle of the forehead as well as on the throat. It can bring you luck, you must then wait grains of rice come off naturally alone! This temple is considered to be one of the 6 most important temples of Bali. In front of the temple is a beautiful black sand beach. Not far from the temple we find vineyards wine.
