Pura Batu Bolong, Senggigi

#12 of 41 in Things to do in Senggigi
Welcome the tranquility of Pura Batu Bolong, a temple set against the crashing of waves on Batu Bolong rock. Cross the natural rock arch just over the coast to reach this small temple facing the horizon. The fourteen pagodas sprawled along the volcanic rocks that protrude into the sea make for a scenic view. Take in the scenery as the wind carries the pleasant fragrance of fresh flowers offered to the statues of Hindu gods. A popular setting for photography enthusiasts, the site looks particularly dramatic at the end of the day, with the sun setting below the arch. Plan your visit to Pura Batu Bolong and a wealth of other attractions, well-known and undiscovered, using our Senggigi itinerary builder.

This is a beautiful little temple built on a rock over looking the sea. You give a donation to enter and can then wander around. Nice beach here too and great for the sunset, or sunrise!  more »

Actually it is an active temple. You're forbidden to go upstairs unless you're praying. But you can walk around. Not so interesting to take a walk. You better go to other beach to enjoy the sea

Hindu temple perched on a rock on a beach. The site is relatively small compared to other temples. But the view is lovely. A must visit when in senggigi.

Most of the temples have similar statues. Best to come in the morning. DO NOT visit at sunset. These places are home to supernatural forces.

Small temple, nothing to see inside. If you want to go inside you must give a donation again. Just a way to go to the beach in the rock.
