  • Our taxi driver took us here as part of a trip to Kuta; total tourist trap. They just want to use you for an ATM; I assume the drivers get some sort of kickback. Skip it - very dull.
  • BUYERS BEWARE!!! Got ripped off pretty badly.. Bought a "hand made" carpet and a sarong for waaayyy to much because I believed the lies the guide was telling us. If you look closely you'll see that the sarongs and other stuff are made from a machine and the carpets are way to wide to be made with these weaving tools they got there. They are even laying around in plastic bags sometimes like they got them from their supplier plus if you keep you're eyes open you will see the same sarongs and carpets, same patterns when the women on the streets in Lombok sell you these but for 10+ times less money. Absolutely dishonest thieves and liers in that village! Shame on you! How could I be so stupid :(
  • Unfortunately there is nothing about culture, just about ripping-off tourists... at the parking space you are caught by a "guide". After that he explained just a few things about the village, which was nothing but a tourist market with totally overpriced low quality products which are definitely NOT HANDMADE. You are lied to and ripped off. Fortunately there is a ATM close... and after all the guide even asked for a tipp. We totally don't recommend going there.
  • Sasak are local tribe of Lombok. You can learn about their tradition and culture here. They sold hand made handicraft which need so much effort in making. The price was very cheap compared with city handicraft store or airport duty free shop. Enjoy the visit here so much.
  • One of the main tourism destination in Lombok. The villagers maintain Sasak native culture. You can see traditional dance by local performer after that you can going around to see the villages. The tour guide will explain to you about Sasak culture in there. You can buy souvenirs hand made by the local people and you can also bid before buying
