Suluban Beach, Pecatu

4.3
#4 of 8 in Outdoors in Pecatu
Experience the lively vibe and broad ocean views of Suluban Beach. Large waves offer an exciting challenge for surfers, but if you aren't one yourself, you might have just as much fun watching others from the shore. Plus, there are inlets along the coastline with pleasantly swimmable (and warm) waters. Enjoy some local cuisine or drinks at one of the many restaurants and cafes near the beach, taking in the ocean view. • This little beach was very picturesque however the steep walk down the stairs was difficult at times (especially in the heat). I’m not sure it was totally worth it. I can’t deny it was very pretty and...  more »

  • Beautiful beach with many shade places. The water is clear and at low tide you can wonderfully and the cliffs. Small natural pools are formed between the rocks where you can splash around. Swim properly is more likely less, but there are also a few bays where the Wassee is slightly deeper. The surfers have a long way to go to get over the rocks to the waves. Caution: Monkeys can claw just the towel. Best, as everywhere on the beach: take any valuables. To get to the beach you have to go several levels down, but it's worth. The beach is free, Scooter parking costs just a few cents, think there were 2000 IDR

  • Very nice small beach. Access trough small stairway. Nog very accessible. The beach itself is rather small so can get crowded fast during the day. Enough vendors selling sarong and Bintang. Sunset view is amazing!
  • Alternative beach if you're not interested to the crowd places. the stiff path and stairs were so much worth it! You will enjoy beautiful view and small lovely beach. The "enter" way is a lil bit hidden and small, just find the sign they put there.
  • Lovely beach.. To reach it, you have to walk down the stairs, +-100meters from the parking area. You can even dip yourself in one of the "natural jacuzzi" 😁 I also saw some people surfing here, big waves. Be careful with the rocks, some might be sharp. There's no entrance fee, only parking fee 3k for motorcycle, 5k for car. Washing room is available but kinda dirty and smelly, 5k per person.
  • Best place for surfing, even we just took pics there. Just go to the top,and you'll get best perfomance from excellent surfers around the sorebreak.
  • nice for sunset specially at single fin
