Waterfall Lembah Anai, Padang

3.8
Make a quick roadside stop at Waterfall Lembah Anai, a small waterfall tumbling over a craggy cliff, thick with lush green vegetation. The pool at the waterfall's base offers enough room for splashing about, if not really swimming. Snap some pictures, buy some food to feed the tribe of small monkeys living on the cliff, then continue on your way. Quickly create a custom-made itinerary for Padang using our trip planner.

  • It's literally on the road so it's not really easy and convenient. And it's just like that, you don't need more than 15 minutes to see and takes pictures in the premises. Just so so.  more »
  • This waterfall is on one of the busy roads between Padang City and Bukittinggi, so you cannot fail to miss it. There are a row of low end shops/stalls with people selling food and drinks and lots of y...  more »
  • This location is very easy to reach, as it is situated on the edge of the highway between padang to bukit tinggi. Waterfalls are pretty cool. However, the parking is limited, especially when the holidays, because many visitors to this place.

  • There's a little parking lot on the leftside of the road if you're from Padang or Pariaman. If you want to visit the waterfall area, you pay the ticket about Rp3.000,-/person (est.) and entering from parking lot. I suggest to come with local guide/experienced person if you are foreigner. Not recomendate for person with wheelchair.
  • You just stop by upon your trip to/from Padang - Bukittinggi and take memorable moment
  • You can see the waterfall from the road and railway. Nice scenery around the waterfall too
  • so nice .. beautifull... and warm people..
  • Kinda surprising place for a waterfall considering it position which near with trans-district highway. But the waterfall itself is beautiful and quite good and clean for a tourism object.

Where to stay in Padang

Following the massive earthquake of 2009, accommodation options in Padang have slightly decreased due to the demolishment of some of the city's older hotels. Since then, a spate of more modern hotels and lodgings have cropped up, offering onsite restaurants serving authentic local and international food, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. Otherwise, family-owned and run guesthouses with clean, basic rooms (and sometimes ensuite bathrooms) remain the best options for budget-conscious backpackers.
