Nusa Penida Island, Nusa Penida

#2 of 16 in Parks in Nusa Penida
Must see · Island · Nature / Park
Unwind off the beaten track at Nusa Penida Island. Dive in its many colorful reefs, bike around the shore taking in the views, or picnic on the fine white sand of its beaches. Snorkeling and diving rank among the top things to do here, since the island remains best known for its marine life and coral. You'll find many diving schools in the area to help you out if needed. Blissfully free of mass tourism, the island also lacks Western-style restaurants and has only a few banks and ATMs, so come prepared. • After seeing the magical Instagram photos of the island, we decided to spend a day at Nusa Penida. When we arrived we learnt that those divine beaches you see photos of are extremely difficult to get....  more »
  • Despite its seemingly certified status as an island paradise on social media, this island remains remarkably pristine. In particular, Kelingking beach feels as close to paradise as one can get, no...  more »
  • Nice and small Island, where you can find the true environment and nature. Nice local culture, but it shows that tourism is the main activity in place, what's for good or not!  more »
  • Wonderful nature. Bright colors of the tropics. The green forest and natural beaches will impress you. I want to return here. In this place you always make great photos! The air smells like flowers.I recommend this place! 👍😄
  • Amazing Landscapes and giant rock cliffs here surrounded in beautiful blue water. If you are in Bali this is worth the day trip to check out. Be prepared for brutally bumpy roads and long car rides, but for me the ride was worth it. Unfortunately there is a massive trash problem here as you will quickly see, there are piles of trash everywhere. If you are visiting, try and bring any trash you can back with you as this paradise is being slowly destroyed by the massive number of new people visiting the island.
  • If you are looking for the scenic blue beaches, this is the place. Clear water at almost all the beaches. Nice escape from the busy life.
  • Nice place and must be stay at least one night there. Awesome view. The track a quit challenging but very satisfied when you arrived the place. Line internet very slow and sometimes do not have coverage. must repeat! If you come in groups 5-6 person or girls only, i suggest just take the tour guide..but if you want to challenge yourself, cut cost and try to explore by your own, you can rent a motor (very cheap).
  • Heard great reviews about this Island so we decided to visit with our 2 year old. The island is still developing so there are no proper facilities. There is no ferry terminal to board the ferry so you have to walk in the water in the Sanur harbour. It was quite difficult to do this with infants. If you have an infant then better avoid this place and enjoy other places in Bali.
