Religious Site Tourist Spot
Opened in 2005, Marian Shrine of Annai Velangkanni represents a Catholic temple especially notable for its Indo-Mogul style architecture, exemplified by the seven small stories rising up to form a pyramid at the height of the structure that follows more conventional modes of Indonesian construction. Survey the colorful and vibrant biblical imagery, as well as quotes from the Bible, once you enter this unusual, storied structure. Visitors are able to collect holy water from the shrine. • Person (a guy) who was taking care of the church was very rude. We went to see the "holy water" but he rudely came to us and said we must leave there. You are Not allowed to take pictures in any sections of this church as well. Not happy of spending so much time to go there.
  • No doubt that this is one of the unique churches (because of its Indian architecture). Surprisingly, I didn't really feel blown away with this church. Still, it is "must visit" place when you're in Medan. The place was pretty crowded due to Christmas day. So, I wish you Merry Christmas for those who celebrate it 😊😊😊
  • This Church Building is Similar to Temples in India. Unique :D
  • It's about 30 minutes out of Medan city. Nice church. Worth the 30 minutes ride.
  • a worthy place to visit if you are not in rush
