Where to stay in Makassar

There has been a slight upturn in Makassar's options for places to stay in the recent past, thanks to an increase in the area's tourism industry. A solid selection of three- to five-star hotels centers at the heart of the city and also dots the outskirts. Makassar definitely has you covered where luxury is concerned; expect plenty of air-conditioned rooms, top-quality annexed restaurants, swimming pools, gyms, and spa and wellness centers. Budget-friendly accommodations are a little thinner unfortunately, so guesthouses and homestays represent the best value for the budget-conscious traveler.

  • it is only small island with some villas and only has small sand beach. It took 10 minutes to get there from the harbor.  more »
  • This island is accesible, there are transportation to get there. Beautiful, good for family vacation but there are many better island than this.  more »
  • My bf and I had Anker beer sold in a sorta abandoned shop near the jetty. The island is mainly occupied by cats. There is an abandoned resort there. It would be quite spooky to stay there for too long...  more »
