Where to stay in Makassar

There has been a slight upturn in Makassar's options for places to stay in the recent past, thanks to an increase in the area's tourism industry. A solid selection of three- to five-star hotels centers at the heart of the city and also dots the outskirts. Makassar definitely has you covered where luxury is concerned; expect plenty of air-conditioned rooms, top-quality annexed restaurants, swimming pools, gyms, and spa and wellness centers. Budget-friendly accommodations are a little thinner unfortunately, so guesthouses and homestays represent the best value for the budget-conscious traveler.
