Landmark
Good for watching the sunrise over the Borubodur temple, the short climb up the steps to Punthuk Setumbu greets you with unmatched views of the surrounding vista. The walk up the stairs is comfortable for those of moderate fitness; it's about a 15- to 20-minute hike. It is entirely possible to tour to the hills on your own, but arranged tours are a good option for convenience. You can also rent a car or minivan to visit the site. • A great start for the day. An easy hike to the top of the hill. Entrance fee: 30000 IDR. Maybe not everyone's cup of tea but for sunrise hunters, this is for you.  more »

  • If the weather is good, this is the best place to see the sunrise. You can see the sun rose from the center of the both mounts (merapi&merbabu) perfectly. Have to try
  • It has a great view but very crowded especially during holiday season. Yes, you could see the silhouette of Borobudur but it's very far away. You should bring your tele lens if you want to take great pictures.
  • Good view but too crowded. If you are lucky enough, you can see borobudur temple from here. There are spots for you to take photos, but need to wait a reaaally long time.
  • Better go here on weekdays during dry season: less crowded and higher chance to see the sky clear when the sun rises.
  • Beautiful sunrise between Borobudur Temple, Merapi & Merbabu Mt,. A little bit long walk really worth the view 🌄👍
