Mount Rinjani, Lombok

4.1
#2 of 23 in Nature in Lombok
Conquer Mount Rinjani, an active volcano. With an attractive lake occupying much of its caldera and hot springs surrounding its rim, the volcano provides expansive sights for those able to hike to the top and extensive views of the surrounding landscape. But this volcano doesn't need to be climbed to be admired--stand at its base and admire the volcano and its dominance over its surroundings and learn about its role in local mythology and religious practices. The volcano has a long history of eruptions great and small, so check with local authorities before heading there. • If you like a challenge as this is one that will bring you a great reward at your arrival. A climb that is not easy, but the second portion will be more demanding than the second. When you reach the Summit to the Sunrise, you will understand why you decided to provide as much effort. Sleeping in a tent halfway is also a fantastic, even if little relaxing experience because of the lack of comfort. Don't forget to bring warm clothing.

  • Mount rinjani is located in pulo lombom East lombok Regency, precisely with the mountaineering altitude 3726mdpl For rinjadi there are already two lines i.e. the Sembalun regions track official and senaru. At tgh trip we will be in suguhi with a view of a meadow Savanna yg so vast and after passing pos3 we thus faced with 7 hills. Commonplace in call Hill's remorse for up to pelawangan Sembalun regions while enjoying the beauty of flowers edelwis. (But jgn in quotation. Keep the sustainability of nature around pelawangan Sembalun regions) until we see yg segeranak Lake located beneath it and mount a new finger. Org2 usually pitch a tent at pelawangan create istirat and continue the journey me peak hours 2dini days in order to see the sunrise from the heights of 3726 mdpl kalo lg friendly weather we can see dunung Tambora on the East and mount agung in bali along with 3gili (gili air Gili Trawangan and meno.) after our lanjutin muncak trip down to Lake segeranak To Lake us activities fishing foam and jamming. cam around the Lake while you cleanse yourself in the thermal baths of his incomparable far. from the Lake. Stay here and continue the trip to esokan day for the ride to pelawangan senaru. And down through the path of Senaru.

  • One of the most challenging treks you will be embarking on. Training is definitely required if you want to enjoy the few days up there. They have the 3D2N trek, but it might be a little rushed and taxing on your legs, so I would recommend to take the 4D3N trip. Plus you get an extra night camp out at the crater camp site. Expect strong winds and absolutely mind blowing number of stars. Do not be like most hikers, misled by the short time, coz it is the intensity and steepness of the trek that will tax you. The last stretch (1km or so) would really be a true test of your grit. Push on and stick with your guide. The view up at the summit is well worth it.
  • Amazing place and most difficult trek I have every attempted to conquer without any doubt. But if you are not able to do the whole summit and lake still decent fitness person would able to reach crater and enjoy the breath taking views of the lake. The sad thing is people throw litter everywhere and it make bit unpleasant specially around the camping site at crater. Night time can be cold and windy so better prepare for that. Another important thing, if you are trekking on dry season better bring mask as it is very dusty most of the trail. Anyone who haven't done any difficult treks, please do enough training before attempt this.
  • This is one of the go-to destinations in Indonesia. Very beautiful. The porters are good cooks, they're so friendly and honest. Let's support locals! And stay clean please!
  • A fantastic trek for all ability levels. We did the trek to the summit in 2 days; first day upto the rim of the crater and the following morning upto the summit. Summit climb is really tough but so worth it when you get there. Amazing trip. You can also walk the crater; you don’t have to do the summit!
  • So far the most memorable trekking experience I ever had. Unbelievable and magnificent views. It was very tough but worth every single step. Some advice to those who contemplate this "journey", be fit physically and strong mentally. We did the 3D2N trip from Sembalun to Senaru Village. My rough estimate we travers around 35km in total. Good to bring extra trekking sandals especially after using your shoes for quite sometime.
