Batu Cermin Cave, Labuan Bajo

Categories: Caves, Nature & Parks
Inspirock Rating:
2.5/5 based on 160+ reviews on the web
Explore the sunlit caverns of Batu Cermin Cave. Rays of light seep through holes in the cave and at certain times of day reflect on the rocks' mirror-like surfaces, creating abstract formations. If you choose to traverse the cave with the help of a guide, they'll point out the site's prehistoric ocean history, as evidenced in ancient fossils of turtles and fish. The tour requires that you wear a hard hat (provided) and demands a bit of crawling, which makes it unsuitable for people with mobility issues. Bring your own water and food, and enjoy observing the cave's wildlife and panoramic vistas. Put Batu Cermin Cave at the forefront of your travel plans using our Labuan Bajo vacation generator.

  • We caught a package with Perama tours where included as first stop here. We arrived at an 8:15 and we were welcomed by about 10 people sitting on the stairs of the office of the tickets that we imagine would be the guides. They tell us that the input is of 30,000 rupees each and a guide will guide us through the cave. We accept and pay when discussed us that can be guides an extra gift of money for his work, something that we thought was very ugly by having asked because some of advance if have even begun the service. The cave is not of this world and is quite small. The road that takes you to it is paved but its around this pretty careless. The Guide provided you speak very basic English and doesn't seem to know much of the cave or what explains. We took us to see fossils of a turtle and a fish that has nothing of criterion. The turtle is in a cave ceiling (as if stuck) and the fossil fish is a spot on a rock. By the way the helmet they give you is broken and the smell bouncing is nauseating. Finally, they sold you something that is not and step scoff at your face.
