  • Before departure, I had already decided that I wanted to achieve my PADI Advanced Open Water certification in Bali. Due to time constraints I am finally totally unprepared on path gone and I once arrived by TripAdvisor browsed for a suitable diving school. Around I came across Aquamarine against and some other, after reading reviews and checking the prices seemed Aquamarine me a very suitable choice which also was in the area. This made me decide to first via WhatsApp because there might be something of a holiday effect on the hours of operation. After to have had contact with Abé showed this is not the case and I am at a quarter past seven on Tuesday morning with the taxi that turn. Also here I am very well helped by Abé with enrollment and further explanations and I could put in another nearby building directly go to the rent stuff, or actually to borrow as this was included. Something to keep in mind is that a credit card payment 3% of storage. The PADI book I immediately got so I could take the relevant chapters for I would be picked up at 7 am on Thursday morning. After the van there at a quarter to 7 if we are driven towards Tulamben. This was a long journey but to do well with but four people in the van (driver and instructor of Aquamarine and 2 passengers) with a Chair that nearly 180 degrees flat can. Once we arrived in Tulamben Wreck Adventure Dive first created when the USS Liberty. After the explanation you go in the water via the beach after all the stuff by the staff already on the beach are then delivered to the wreck. After this first dive at the enclosed restaurant you will find a wide selection lunch. After some practice with the compass on the country it was time for the second Navigation Adventure Dive. After the mandatory navigation part it was continued the dive itself again with a run around the USS Liberty. After this second dive it was time to shower and get dressed and I was dropped off at my hotel. The next day it was time for the sequel of the AOW course. This second day I was again 7 hours picked up and we went to Blue Lagoon to there with a speed boat to leave towards Nusa Penida. The first dive was in Crystal Bay where we have done the Deep Adventure Dive after turtles and to view a lot of fish in the clear water. The second dive of the day was after a short sail at Manta Point. As the name suggests we have there under the watchful eye of a large group of Reef Mantas the Peak Performance Buoyancy Adventure Dive. This was very impressive with this beautiful big fish! After another piece of sail it was time for the last dive, this was the Drift Adventure Dive. Also this dive was beautiful, we started on Pura Ped where we have run us through the current along a wall of beautifully colourful coral and a diverse marine life which consisted of turtles, moray eels and a water hose. Now this dive was the Advanced Open Water course on it which I have followed with great pleasure at Marta. Tired but satisfied, we then went back to the Blue Lagoon to there with the van to drive back to my hotel when a long drive was by the always busy traffic in Bali. When I received my certification in my mailbox I came to the discovery that the attached picture not mine but my fellow student was. After this discovery quickly contacted Abé that this has solved quickly and nicely for me. Also, I found out that I had forgotten my slate in my BCD. He has also this fast for me and I have picked up on the Office. Now I was there anyway I decided me directly for the Manta Ray Awareness Diver Specialty in writing after my amazing diving with manta rays. On Wednesday we went again to Nusa Penida to there after the explanation and theory about the manta rays to dive with them to this theory in practice. Again it was a wonderful second dive after the first to have completed in Crystal Bay. After the second dive we went back to the Blue Lagoon to have lunch, the last curriculum and to then be dropped off at my hotel. I would like to thank Marta for the AOW course and Dwi for the Manta Specialty!

  • Went with 3 other divers recently and loving the experience. Our DM Mitra? Was super attentive and considerate to one of our diver friend who isn't as confident in the water and he constantly guided her around and checks up on us the entire time. Nice boat with toilet on it (very important for someone like me who can't pee in the wetsuit), lunch and towels provided. Oh if you're an xxxl size shirt, make sure you bring your own wetsuit as they don't have the size for it and water is VERY COLD (about 23 celcius at Manta Bay). Would recommend to others.
  • Very professional divecentre... Very flexible with payments... Good instructor and divemasters mostly Indonesian... They take care of few little things like Towels...pick up drop timely... handling of equipment by helpers..options and variety of lunch...
  • We chose this place cause it was close to our villa. We were 4 of us and 2 of us wanted to do the Open Water Cert and 2 of my friends just the discovery dive to the USAT wreck. Due to the volcano we couldn't go to the USAT site but went to Padang bay. Our instructor for the OW Cert was great. Patient and polite. We had fun. My friends who came along for the discovery dive had a horrible time. It was far than horrible it was unsafe. Their instructor was rude to begin with. One friends suit didn't fit and he could hardly breath. They didn't have a spare. Couldn't believe that. Their instructor gave them a small briefing then straight into the deep sea. My friends had to learn directly in the ocean. They did no mask drills or regulator drills. Very unsafe. The instructor took them straight down and didn't heed the 'go up' signals given by my friends at multiple times. He pulled them down and was pinching my woman friend if she used her arms to swim. They paid for 2 dives but only did one as they were scared. While we had a good time my friends had a horrible time and i would say they were unsafe. Do not go with AMD-B. They don't care. We emailed them and all they said was sorry and we will not renew the contract of the instructor. No offer of a partial refund even as they didn't do the 2nd dive due to the instructor. We didn't bother asking for one cause we don't want to deal with them anymore and are planning to complain to PADI as the instructor didn't go up when asked to which is very unsafe.
  • We had an incredible 3 weeks diving all over Bali with AquaMarine. Annabel put together a fantastic adventure for us, including a private van, driver, and dive guide. By carrying tanks in the van, we were able to access dive sites that are not available to most divers because of no local infrastructure. We did the coast of the whole island, and had an experience like no other dive trip we had ever taken. Our guide was incredibly experienced, and it was a private trip for just two people for about the same price as staying at a dive resort. Highly recommended! These people know what they are doing.
  • Best dive company in Bali without doubt.
