  • Located in central Jakarta at Jalan Proklamasi, this historical monument is built to commemorate of The Proclamation of Indonesian Independence. The monument featuring the statue of Indonesian first president Soekarno reading the Indonesian Proclamation of Independence with vice president Mohammad Hatta. Today this monument are also used by people to gather together, doing political activities, even some are using to do demonstrations. You can do jogging around this monument and can find some food sellers nearby.
  • A historical spot. You can learn an interesting history of Indonesia in here (especially in era Indonesia's Independence). Great spot to do morning jogging or take a good picture.
  • Clean and tidy historical park with several monuments, it becomes a recreational spot for people to do walking, jogging or just spending times with friends. It has a reflexiology path, Moslem praying area and public toilet. No entrance fee, you only need to bin your trash and no trespassing: keep it clean. Oh, it is also a popular spot to do specific events.
  • Historic place, well kept gardens. Would have been better with more details to better understand the events before and after the proclamation.
  • Historical monument about Indonesian founding fathers, good place for excercise, clean air, a lot of trees.
