Jakarta Cathedral, Jakarta
(4.3/5 based on 700+ reviews on the web)
Visit Jakarta Cathedral, an impressive Roman Catholic place of worship in the center of the city. Consecrated in 1901, the cathedral displays an attractive Neo-Gothic architectural style, with two main spires stretching high into the sky, assisting the effect of the symmetrical facade. Head inside to see the Belgian-made Neo-Gothic-style organ and arresting vaulted ceilings. An upstairs museum details the history of the cathedral and Christianity in the country. • a little disappointing: still somewhat attractive from the outside, inside it is a church as many. There is also a ' cave ' for lovers. And the location is special: in the Center in front of a big mosque.

  • Service was going on when we reached by 7.00 pm. The building was much bigger than we expected and has a lot of nice architectural features. Was not bright enough inside to really enjoy the details
  • Di bagian dalam Katedral Jakarta dihiasi berbagai ornamen yang sangat indah. Selain itu juga dilengkapi dengan museum di lantai dua menambah wawasan pengunjung.

  • Awe inspiring Neo-Gothic architecture. Located right across the Istiqlal Mosque. A beautiful symbol of peaceful coexistence between christians and muslims.
  • This is the main Catholic Church for Jakarta, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi area. This Church is an old Church. The interior is Europe style. In here you can see the organ pipe.
  • “Peaceful refuge in a big city” This is a beautiful church, and it has a nice little book shop attached. I often go here when in Jakarta, for mass or just to mediatate and pray. It’s peaceful and offers the tranquillity one sometimes craves when in such a big city as Jakarta.
  • Old & historical Catholic church, dim & cool atmosphere, perhaps some swallow loved to nested inside
  • and this is the great! Berkah Dalem
