Jakarta Cathedral, Jakarta

4.4
#3 of 9 in Historic Sites in Jakarta
Religious Site Tourist Spot
Visit Jakarta Cathedral, an impressive Roman Catholic place of worship in the center of the city. Consecrated in 1901, the cathedral displays an attractive Neo-Gothic architectural style, with two main spires stretching high into the sky, assisting the effect of the symmetrical facade. Head inside to see the Belgian-made Neo-Gothic-style organ and arresting vaulted ceilings. An upstairs museum details the history of the cathedral and Christianity in the country. • Always love to be here. The only place in Indonesia which have a part of Lourdes Stonewall. And some food here, because I'm hungry after the morning mass. 😀
  • Amazing architecture outside, even calming vibe inside 🙏🏽✨Whenever in the neighborhood, we should stopped and take some time to thank Him for everything we have
  • The beauties church at jakarta indonesia. Also the biggest cathedral in indonesia. At restotation currently. If interested to #donate can see my pic post
  • This church was my favorite place to contemplate. This place had witnessed what I had done. This always be remembered and I will come back oneday.
  • Beautiful architecture and European-style cathedral in the bustling city of Jakarta. It is interesting that Jakarta's only cathedral is located just right across the largest mosque in Indonesia. The cathedral dates back to the Dutch colonial era. The church is open 7 days a week for anyone who wish to visit.
