4.3/5 based on 650+ reviews on the web
Visit Jakarta Cathedral, an impressive Roman Catholic place of worship in the center of the city. Consecrated in 1901, the cathedral displays an attractive Neo-Gothic architectural style, with two main spires stretching high into the sky, assisting the effect of the symmetrical facade. Head inside to see the Belgian-made Neo-Gothic-style organ and arresting vaulted ceilings. An upstairs museum details the history of the cathedral and Christianity in the country. • There is a big sign welcome at the entrance on the left side of the church. Its a quite modest, with a few person praying inside. I felt so peaceful inside.
  • A few steps from the famous Grand Mosque in Jakarta, the church stands out for its singularity: she "slice" somewhat with the décor, which is pretty fun to see. Architecturally it has no great interest, but is still worth a visit, at least to enjoy a few minutes of freshness that offers this monument.

  • The Cathedral is right next to the isthiqlal Mosque and symbolizes the unity, Tolerance and understanding that the two major religions have with each other in Indonesia
  • “Peaceful refuge in a big city” This is a beautiful church, and it has a nice little book shop attached. I often go here when in Jakarta, for mass or just to mediatate and pray. It’s peaceful and offers the tranquillity one sometimes craves when in such a big city as Jakarta.
  • The building look so awesome with it's architecture. Face to face with Istiqlal mosque that shown united in diversity of this nation. My friend asking me to accompany him to visit this church, unfortunately the church was closed on the late night.
  • Kuno namun cantik.
  • megah ya kaya di pelem pelem
  • It look same architecture of Barcelona church la sargada del famillia in Spain and big church of Milan Italy
