  • Sukawati Art Market is a very famous art market and very popular with local people and tourists who are looking for a bargain. Much cheaper than the Pasar in Ubud. There are all sorts of things on offer, such as traditional Balinese clothing or ornaments, t-shirts, bags, pictures, masks. And on this traditional market, you can also buy many paintings. And, ... the price is very cheap compared to other places. But don't forget to haggle. So, negotiate. Sometimes half or a third of the price that the seller requires. Fruit is also for sale.

  • We bought a few nice pieces of art on canvas. They took them off the frames for us and rolled them for easy travel. We also bought a t-shirt for our daughter. We spent about an hour there. Be prepared...  more »
  • I went because I love markets. I think may be unfamiliar buildings in the dark and scary. Crammed with goods are standing in line, of course bargaining system. Ubud is refined assortment of clothes? It was said to be cheaper than the Ubud, but does not change so as soon as the negotiations. Local fun.

  • Many shops sell the same things. It was very quite when I was there so it was pleasent to shop around. Try always to bargain but some of them don't go much down with the price even if you walk away. Still got some nice bargains there
  • This is the largest selection of paintings I've seen in Bali thus far. I saw some real gems in the warehouse shop that is just west of the main market area. Just go in for a look and you will surely fall in love with a painting. Just remember you can bargain pretty hard in these places and nobody will get offended.
  • Quite far away from crowded area or city but nice to place to buy some merchandise or gift, but you have to clever to offer the price otherwise they get more money from you...
  • Like other traditional market. But here is the chepaest of all souvenir market that i have ever came in Bali. If you can bargain to the cheapest price it more profitable. But fyi, the price here is already cheap if you compare with the souvenir market in Ubud (so overprice, and after bargain also overprice)
  • The offerings here are outstanding but the shop owners can be a little pushy. You can truly get anything here and they're good quality.
