Bali Pulina Coffee Plantation, Tegalalang

Farm · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
At Bali Pulina Coffee Plantation, discover how to harvest, roast, and prepare kopi luwak--the famous (or infamous) beverage made from coffee cherries partially digested by the Asian palm civet, known locally as the luwak. See each step in the production process, including the luwaks themselves, before sampling the prized coffee. If the thought of drinking something that has already been eaten once puts you off, you can always enjoy a sweet tea instead. The wooden viewing platform where you enjoy your hot drink provides sweeping views of the neighboring terraces of rice paddies. • Be sure to have your sunglasses and hats because it can get very hot. The plantation itself is vast. It has a lot of different walking routes so be sure to expect some surprises along the way. You....  more »

  • This was a great stop with a quick and free detailed tour of a coffee plantation process. The detailed and interactive tour finished with great views and free samples of all of the drink products. These products are all available for purchase at a high price in the gift shop.
  • Great place and very informative. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. The swing is not the best as the valley underneath is full of trees l.. So u don't get the feel of the depth properly. Luwak coffee is a must try..
  • very pretty place. the staff are friendly, and are not pushy at all to sell you stuff, (which is hard to find in Bali), They give out a good sample of coffees for free. And they price is really not too bad at all. One down side is there is bees and will attract to the sweet food you order. Beautiful views.
  • Actually since going there 4 years ago is has lost its allure. The rice terraces look shabby and many buildings have been built opposite. The famous deck is run down and in need of repairs, I felt unsafe with my 7yo son.
  • Awesome place with very nice views! Perfect for instagram. The staff are very friendly. There is no entry fee and the price in the restaurant and shop are okay. No pressure to buy anything.
