Senggigi Beach, Desa Sekotong Barat

(3.3/5 based on 420+ reviews on the web)
To get the most out of Senggigi Beach, head away from the main entrance, where an overabundance of trash and persistent street hawkers unfortunately mar the soft sands and clear blue water. The sections of the beach owned by a private resort make for a much nicer environment in which you can appreciate the backdrop of coconut palms and green-clad mountains in peace. Note that you cannot use the sun loungers unless you stay at the resort, but feel free to stop by the bar. • Nice spot but we had lots of locals stopping us and wanting us to buy. The beach isn't white sand and there was still rubbish
  • Shocking bad beach, don't understand at all why that area has some sort of popularity. Beach is small and dirty, restaurants are weird, the art market is just questionable, and the whole region looks like some better time was long in the past. Surfing options are very limited (one small spot on the left tip outside the beach). Would never recommend anyone to stay in the area, better go to Kuta (and the other beaches in the south) or to Bali, if you like more infrastructure.
  • For me, it's not a beach for sunbathing because too many fishermen boats. Although, those boats will make the view of the sunset more beautiful. Sometimes at the weekend, especially Saturday,, they usually have an event/exhibition on the beach with blaring techno music.
  • Beach is OK, maybe nicer during dry season. You'll find a few restaurants and the harbour is there as well.
  • Senggigi has beautiful sunset point, and you can find many hotels and cafes here.
