Pink Beach, Desa Sekotong Barat

3.7
#2 of 9 in Things to do in Desa Sekotong Barat
The miniscule pink pebbles of Pink Beach give the site its name. This unusual, almost surreal beach is visited by many for the chance to snorkel and relax by the sea. Watch for colorful and abundant coral and marine life in the clear, blue waters, which adds to the vibrant nature of the beach and proves to be a draw for snorkelers. Be sure to pack your camera, as this is a sight that should be captured. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Desa Sekotong Barat holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Pink Beach and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • This beach is located in East lombok. If you want to here, the physical must be strong, because it is a bit far from the city of mataram. In the center of the district, the streets are still good and on the asphalt, but after going through it, we will go to the villages that have not been paved. The course is very ugly and rocky, so it could not quickly reply to ride motorcycles. For its own beaches, pretty clean, but the color of the sand on the beaches is not so pink. On the left side of the beach there is a hill, we can photograph from the top of the Hill, the view from the top of the Hill pretty good.

  • This beach takes forever to get to and wasn't worth it once there. Definitely not even pink. Do yourself a favor and just visit beaches closer to Kuta for convenience and more beauty!! Seger, Tijuana ...  more »

  • The sand isn't as pink as you may think it to be. But it wasn't very busy when we were here. There are some stray dogs roaming around. A couple of vendors selling some coconut water and snacks along with other drinks. Not much in terms of shade from trees. There is a short walk up to a view point and this walk divides the beach into two sides. There is some garbage and you can see some locals really trying to clean it up. Lots of people access the beach by boats. Great to wade around but not really swimming.
  • The beach itself is nice, but not worth the 50k entry fee per person. The pink didn't really show for us, and the road to get there can't really be called a road. There are more accessible beaches, which are as or even more beautiful and are cheaper or free. Wouldn't recommend.
  • Private beach .If you go in the afternoon , you will not see the Colour of pink at the beach.Best to go early in the morning.Quiet and cosy beaches.. Clear water and place for chill .Our local guides caught fishes and cook it. Sweet and delicious..
  • I don't know if it's because it was cloudy when we went, but we couldn't see the pink effect on the sand more than a few red spots on the shore (from the reef). The road to get there is awful and you have to pay a 50000 fee per person. Also, Google Maps has the location wrong so ask to a local before turning right (around 20 min before the beach) or check Maps Me where the address is right. Nice cliffs and beach but definitely not worth going unless you have a lot of time to enjoy every other beach around.
  • We really like the beach, eventough it's not that pink. The problem is that they raised the price from Rp.10.000 per motorbike to Rp.50.000 per bule (westerner). This without any proper explanation what the money will be used for... The road to get there is terrible (1 hour for 10km) if they would at least fix this, it would make more sense. I can however recommend to visit it by boat, then you won't be charged...
