  • Hi all! This is my first comment on trip advisor and I post because I think it's time to give a little to date that it has been said in the past. Now soon 10 days that my partner and I travel Bali and I was happy to be able to go for a walk in this market in the light of previous comments. It is with slight surprise that one arrived and we saw the main building closed (because it has burning some time ago). Okay, it was expected to find the small stalls to other places but... Apart from vegetables in a unlighted basement remained only a few stalls on the street but no meat, no fish... We go for the atmosphere, the smells and pictures... I can tell you that you will not have much... In short, if you want to go, feel free, but it seems that this has changed since previous reviews. For our part, we were more impressed by the Jimbaran fish market! (If you are looking for pictures and authentic moments, it is here that we must go!) Enjoy your stay!

  • The market is located on the central street of Denpasar near the big church. The market is open from morning to evening. We were in the morning. Cheap prices, fresh products. The market has several floors. On the lower floors sold vegetables, fruits, seafood, poultry, meat, eggs, and various spices, and more. On the upper floor are sold handicrafts. The market is famous for its handicrafts and handmade souvenirs.

  • Sadly the original market burnt down. Now the people try to reestablish a market in the surrounding streets, causing traffic jams. Variety in products for local citizens only
  • Full of colour & character. Narrow walkways within the vegetable market everything is very close and on top of one another which gives way to lots of colour, smells, & atmosphere. Because of this have your camera close by and your purse even closer. So worth a visit. There is a material market one side of the vegetable market then on the other side is wholesale clothes & bags etc market. This is where the local market stalls by their gear to sell on the street. On the street out side of the markets there are coffee shops to rest after a great few hours exploring a very local way of life.
  • The best market traditional in denpasar
  • The big wet market is worth checking out to see what they sell. The activity starts early in the morning before the sun is even up.
  • The largest market in Denpasar. Anything you could ever want is here. Make sure to bring a local with you as it can be intimidating otherwise.
