  • We wanted to see a traditional market. As soon as our descent to taxi it was Cheesed s by a woman who followed us all the way to the 'market', with their smells of fish and fresh meats. It was horrible, market uninteresting, dirty. We wanted to leave as soon as possible, of course taxi rarer than kuta and Seminyak, it is here that the woman in question wants me money on the pretext that she served us a guide while we asked him. A taxi driver who knows of reputation, having seen the scene, told us she was from the mafia. Beware or avoid this corner there.

  • We were looking for vanilla and in the end we were sucked by a lady who said to have and to tell us exorbitant prices. Following that we have decide to see other traders and she had already all contact and she even followed us. In short horrible the place gives not want really no point to go. We came home empty-handed and disgusted with the market. And there is really no tourist there so don't waste your time.

  • I think is cheaper, if a local story, be able to Indonesia, especially Bali, language or Javanese, moderate price, so buy enough at a local supermarket after all cheap. Do not bring bags and tied with string, passed as the struggle to return.

  • I love swap meats, markets, Bazaars, & this market had everything to make it perfect. Lots & lots of shops, the hustle & bustle of wheeling & dealing, great deals, lots of locals, & still authentic. If wanting to grab a bite to eat, there are nearby restaurants, street vendors, & places to grab a beer. Of course do a lot of haggling, the vendors will state 2 or 3 times the actual price, maybe more. The vendors weren’t pushy ether, & offered a variety of products & souvenirs.
  • This market has wet section (fish, clams, shrimps and meat), vegetables, and small local stores selling condiments, rice and kitchen needs. There is a building with 4 floors selling local and handmade handicrafts (different Bali souvenirs) and textiles. You should bargain here because they usually sell on tourist prices. You just have to go and walk around because there is really to direction or guide for each section.
  • Went to the river below the market. Fountain, lights, and (almost) free trash river as the crowd attraction. Nice place to sit and chill at night.
  • THE NIGHT MARKET MOVE TO "PASAR BADUNG BARU", you have to type that name in google map to get the nice new night market full of locals selling stuff from food, raw chicken, clothes, flowers for praying. In this place (Old Badung market) i found the people are very nice telling me where is the new place, this market full of flowers seller for praying ceremony.
  • The actual multi-storey building is being rebuilt at the moment, so there is effectively no market here at all, except for the lots of small, little, not very clean, street level shops and sellers. Not recommended until at least the multi-storey market starts trading again.
