  • Pasar Badung is closed and will most probably not be re-opened for some time. Now the smaller pasars have taken over the food selling. The souvenir and handicrafts Pasar Kumbasari next door is still o...  read more »
  • We arrived full of spirit to visit the market, we expect that it is dirty... But the! It was worse than we had imagined especially for odors. We bought 2 sarongs but even discussing the price strongly we were ripped off for low quality. Our different drivers have confirmed us the scam... Very disappointed!

  • To get the local population feeling when we always try to visit the local market. This market is very colorful and it smells delicious to all kinds of herbs. Difference between rich and poor population is big here. The rich ladies let their very heavy sales baskets by other women on their head wear. If you are sure this market visit. We have delicious rambutans purchased. Don't forget the nearby fabrics-Jalan Sulawesi and Jalan Gajah Mada Street with many Chinese pharmacists to visit.

  • The best market traditional in denpasar
  • Full of colour & character. Narrow walkways within the vegetable market everything is very close and on top of one another which gives way to lots of colour, smells, & atmosphere. Because of this have your camera close by and your purse even closer. So worth a visit. There is a material market one side of the vegetable market then on the other side is wholesale clothes & bags etc market. This is where the local market stalls by their gear to sell on the street. On the street out side of the markets there are coffee shops to rest after a great few hours exploring a very local way of life.
  • The big wet market is worth checking out to see what they sell. The activity starts early in the morning before the sun is even up.
  • The largest market in Denpasar. Anything you could ever want is here. Make sure to bring a local with you as it can be intimidating otherwise.
  • CLOSED/INOPERATIONAL - the marketplace burned down in a huge fire earlier this year (2016).
