Tanjung Puting National Park, Central Kalimantan

(4.8/5 based on 150+ reviews on the web)
Admire orangutans in their natural environment at Tanjung Puting National Park. The park hosts wild and rehabilitated orangutans as well as other species of monkeys, like macaques and proboscis. Get a close look at wild creatures from viewing platforms in the trees, located near a frequented food source. Be mindful of visiting while plantation fires are burning, when the air fills with smoke and makes traveling extremely difficult. Avoid this problem by planning your trip for the period right after the rainy season. Put Tanjung Puting National Park and other Pangkalan Bun attractions into our Pangkalan Bun itinerary maker, and watch your holiday take shape.

  • If you go to Indonesia you have to visit Borneo and make a visit to this park. The boat trip is incredible by the middle of the jungle. Being close to these animals who share 99% of our DNA is fascinating. Is an endangered animal and all the help that we can do to save them is to be commended:)
