Enjoy the varied abundance of plant life at Bogor Botanical Gardens, the oldest such garden in Southeast Asia. Founded in 1817 when the country was under Dutch rule, the garden's collection has grown considerably over time to boast about 14,000 different kinds of trees and plants from all over the world. With the local climate providing conditions in which tropical plants flourish, the garden's ample grounds are filled with color throughout the year. • There are a lot of plants in the garden that are available to visit and part of the place for the general team to use as a playground. Is that a small part of the plant is not preserved very well and because the botanical garden is too big. It is a pity that there is little shelter in the garden once.

  • The garden is located in the Centre of bogor. Easy to reach if you are coming from jakarta or bandung damri bus or bus users because it is very close to the bus terminal baranangsiang or pool damri in botanical square

  • A garden at the center of Bogor City, a regency in West Java province. It is a wonderful legacy of Dutch Colonial. It has a resting president palace, big green lawn designated for spotted deers, open area for Kids to play, network of roads for cars to access every corner of the garden, and benches for visitors to enjoy the beauty of the garden. It has a big restaurant, a stylish, looks modern appearance, with outdoor tables in terraces overlooking the top of Trees in the garden. The entrance ticket is pretty cheap. Overall the garden looks really well maintained. Visitors are allowed to bring food and drinks and i can clearly see here and there groups of families lay their banquet under shades on green grass. The landscape varies inside: river runs through and some bridges enrich the looks of the garden, steps climb steep hills, ponds dot here and there, dark space under heavy bush and tall Trees, birds and insects are plenty, sounds of cricket fill the garden. A perfect place to be connected back to nature. A heaven for all ages to enjoy the nature, to get inspiration, to relieve stress, to have short personal retreat and a right place to consider our position and role in nature.
  • I think there's no other place in Java that has this much flora collections, you can find many interesting trees, flowers, and plants inside. Most of the flora here has a plate containing their name, but that's just about it. It is very relaxing for jogging at weekend. Relatively cool, even at full daylight. There are public restrooms here. Be mindful where they are at, might be helpful to know it, since it will be a long walk from one to another. Maps there might not be clear, so you can always look at your Google map of your current position.
  • Must visit place. Better come on weekday so you can bring your own vehicle to tour inside. Inside there also available car n caddy for touring by paying 25k rupiah each person. You can enjoy to the view also from cafe grand garden while enjoying your drink n food. Taste good also.
  • good place. if you want to go here, please relax your feet first. exactly good place for hanging out with your family. there is a restaurant inside and the foods are great. don't forget to bring your camera.

Where to stay in Bogor

Although it's a fairly big city with plenty of things to do, Bogor hasn't developed its tourist infrastructure at the same rate as other places in Indonesia. That makes it difficult to find budget accommodations, with prices in Bogor generally more expensive than across the rest of West Java. You can find mid-range options throughout the city, especially close to the botanical gardens and presidential palace. If you're looking to stay at a larger, more luxurious resort, check the countryside surrounding the city.
