Pancuran 7, Baturaden

3.5
#22 of 37 in Nature in Central Java
Hot Spring Nature / Park
Head to Pancuran 7 (literally translated as “seven hot springs”), where the sulfuric waters are thought to have healing properties. A bathe in the soothing hot springs can be a welcome treat after a trek through the the lush pine forest surrounding the area. Getting to and from the springs requires walkers to navigate a 300 m (980 ft) elevation change, so those of moderate walking ability should approach with some caution. Be aware that transport to the springs is difficult due to the poor condition of the paved roads; most visitors opt for motorcycles to make their way there. • Spent a Great Morning here. Spectacular Views. There is quite a bit of walking involved and LOTs of steps to get to many areas. The hot springs are good. I took a hot spring bath in private bath area. It was very good particularly for aching back and knees for all the steps. Highly recommend to refresh before walk back up steps. Do not be put off by the photos of the bath, the coloring is from the minerals in the water, all part of the reason for taking the bath. Worth taking swimming attire in case you get wet. Not needed for baths as private room. Food, drink and toilets are available in most areas. The access to the areas is by small vans the roads are a bit bumpy in places and relatively long, but well worth it. Also you will probabley be left on your own before the bath fills. Make sure you add at least two buckets of water from the cold water cistern BEFORE you try to get in. The spring water is VERY HOT.
