Admire the many statues inside, showing the charming Buddha smiling, having tea, and communicating with various animals. Twelve statues outside represent the animals of the Chinese zodiac, which is based on year--you can find your zodiac animal and compare characteristics. • Amazing temple, one of the largest temple by land. It's very peaceful and tourists should take a time to visit this. There's also a vegetarian restaurant. Foods are all great and pretty cheap. Not to mention, the restaurant can be pretty crowded too, so make sure you already get a table already. (No reservations haha) School and university made by Maitreya are also here. Overall, if you want to look for a place that's peaceful, this is it.
  • A very well-done temple. Many statues of multiple materials. The parking lot is even lined with several granite statues of Buddha. The vegetarian restaurant has a wide selection, but know they recently changed their pricing on some items (to per piece instead of per portion). Worth checking out for some moments of peace while in Batam.
  • It is open to the public. Serves vegetarian. A peaceful place right in the middle of busy town area. One of the favorite tourism place to visit.
  • A quiet and serene place. Must visit if you come to Batam.
  • Nice laughing budha statues...
