Landmark Tourist Spot
A significant temple to the Balinese people and a culturally historical artifact, Pura Lempuyang rewards the hiker not only with an authentic glimpse into the prayer life of the Balinese people, but also picturesque views over the surrounding vista. Suitable for those of moderate to good levels of fitness and walking ability, the site requires visitors to climb 1,700 steps to the summit. Before you begin, be sure to find a sarong to wear, or ask a guide where to find one, because entry to the temple is not permitted without one. • Beautiful, unforgettable views just prior to the stairs, as soon as you start lifting everything goes behind the clouds, but the impression that got into the forest from the movie "Sleepy loshhina"byli throughout the route. Climbed the short path, drank coffee benefit sell everywhere (water, soups and snacks) took 2:00 because all the way towards went local with ceremony and found it difficult to disperse the narrow slippery stairs descended to route 2. and climbed again in silence. I advise you to wear comfortable shoes and anti-skid to take something warm on top.

  • The first temple we visited this summer! First thing to know, access is already high in the mountain which under intends to have a scooter in good condition because the engine is put to the test and to go down, our brake rear rendering the soul after a few meters to climb! Of course plan a Sarong to access the visit even if it is possible to rent on-site. You must have a GPS under penalty to shoot a round in the jungle in which the temples are nestled. (no sign outside the main road we leave quickly) Admission is charged, but no fixed price, each gives what he wishes and stated in writing in the book of the Temple at the entrance. (we gave 25 k rp for 3 but it's totally free) The staff at the entrance are very friendly. Possibility of guide (without much interest if you stop at the first or 2nd temple but essential to go to the last!) The first temple is worth a visit but be present during ceremonies is a real plus because many doors remain closed outside), it's a bit random. We highly recommend a visit if you're in Amed or the surrounding area! If you enjoyed my view, click below, thanks ;)

  • We have been to the temple hiked, climbed with a guide from candidasa, toto called, this was the beginning climbing between properly in a beautiful rainforest setting. By the mountain come here binnendrijven that clouds for a continuous high humidity. Beautiful tree ferns and other trees on the route, eventually after 600-800 m climb to get to the upper Temple. There a ceremony witnessed (forget the sarong not!), and along the many steps (1700) walked back down through the other temples. What the special is that you by anyone who goes uphill friendly greeted, especially the daughters received a lot of praise, all respectful. Eventually you come than in the lower Temple from where you can create pictures with a bit of luck with gunung agung in the background, luckily we had open again. On top of the mountain was pretty fresh, by wind and humidity. The variation of tempelgangers with kilos to offerings that go up the mountain makes it very special. The lower Temple is the most beautiful and largest and accessible even if you do not pray. The trip that we have created is a must for a sporty family, but the massage in the hotel makes all aches good again!
