Pay a visit to Klungkung Temple for some insight into Balinese culture and architecture. Surrounded by a lake with numerous lily pads, the grounds and temple provide a scenic view and good spot to take pictures. Marvel at the murals and ceiling carvings in the traditional wayang style: with colorful deep backgrounds and flat figures, they depict various rewards and punishments for good and bad karma. The museum portion of the complex is devoted to the history of Balinese royalty up until they were conquered by Dutch colonists. Sarongs are necessary to wear in the temple and provided at the entrance. Use our Klungkung holiday planner to add Klungkung Temple and other attractions to your Klungkung vacation plans.

Pourquoi l'avoir appeler temple alors qu'il s'agit d'un ancien palais de justice. Très intéressant par les scènes dessinées sous les 2 pavillons représentant des délits ou des scènes du Ramayana. Why have called temple while he is a former courthouse. Very interesting by the scenes drawn under the 2 flags representative of offences or scenes from the Ramayana.show original
