  • It takes some persistence to Riung to visit the road from Bajawa to Riung is a real challenge and a crazy experience and then you come in Riung, where you have everything friendly locals, good warungs and beautiful nature Go especially in delicious breakfasts and tasty tea Nirvana stay bungalows

  • Riung is a nice quite fisherman village. Not much action or things to do. You can go on a boat trip to the islands and that's it. If you like to have some peace and quiet and just be of the grid for a...  more »
  • It is a small village of fishermen certainly a bit distant for some but honestly I find that other roads on the island of Flores are even worse than the one leading to Riung. We stayed 3 nights and we do not regret! Positives: very good accommodation - Nirvana Bungalows - quiet, clean, great breakfast, good bedding; In the Café del Mar we ate the best fish in the world! It's a place very clean (those who know Flores know it's hard to find a restaurant that makes you want to eat at the level of cleanliness) and everything we ate was delicious. Good snorkeling but nothing to do with Komodo; Good place to go to Labuan Bajo on a boat for those who's tired of roads running :) 8 hour... may be uncomfortable for some people because the boats are too noisy but for us... it was better to spend 8 hours boat than spend another 2 days on roads by car. Negatives: bit of captains who speak English so hard to communicate (for example to discuss the price), the coral and the Islands are infested by tt kind, cardboard and other rubbish plastic and it is very unfortunate :((I recommend this place for those who want qlqs days of relax during their trip and the gourmets who love fish! :)
