  • In Waai there is one family taking care of the more than 100 sacred eels. There are 2 family members who actually hand feed them with eggs. As tourist you can do this together lifting these monstrous ...  more »
  • It is an activity to do, but it does not last very long. Eels live in the part of the river that serves as a laundry, you will need to leave a tip on and off, it is normal and it's cheap, it gave us 20 000IDR (2EUR).

  • The taxi dropped us off near the entrance. We walked along the water, but found no cash register or input. We asked someone where the sacred eels were, but it was not responded. Only after a while was an old male on. He walked up to the water, sent the children away and started to lure the eels. Then he walked further into the water, to the laundry room where women the was did. There were more eels from the stones in the side. When should I come and the eels in the water Petting, while the male them eggs. The poor. At the end we wanted to the male and tipping, but he asked 10 x as much! Bit exaggerated ...
