ISKCON Vrindavan, Vrindavan

#2 of 14 in Things to do in Vrindavan
Visit ISKCON Vrindavan, a thriving spiritual center for the International Society for Krishna Consciousness. On a daily basis, pilgrims from around the world and nearby Delhi flock to the center to worship. The founder of ISKCON, Srila Prabhupada, chose to build the temple in 1975 to give strength to his devotees. It was purposely built on a site where Supreme Lord Sri Krishna and his brother Balaram spent much time over 5,000 years ago. Explore the bustling temple, which has three altars, and admire the bright white marble architecture and the intricately carved walls. For a real treat, head to the temple before sunrise and watch the dancing and chanting as the sun comes up. With 30 departments, including a guesthouse, museum, book stalls, and a restaurant, you can easily spend a decent amount of time at the temple. For ISKCON Vrindavan and beyond, use our Vrindavan vacation planner to get the most from your Vrindavan vacation.

Amazing architecture of this temple, But look compact at the entrance. One of the best ISKCON temples. But no free prasadam 😔. Krishna's presence in dieties is evident, as the beautiful darshnam gives peace of mind and spread love amongst us. Local and temple related stuff are sold at the shops inside the temple premisis.

You must visit this Temple if you are in Mathura-Vrindava. The atmosphere is filled with devotional chants of Sri Krishna. Neat, clean and very disciplined ambience.

Where to stay in Vrindavan

As a place of Hindu pilgrimage, Vrindavan offers plenty of accommodations for its visitors, with a good range of options to suit different tastes and budgets. In the more spacious outskirts to the west, upmarket hotels lie on the Bhaktivedanta Swami Marg road and side streets. Follow the same thoroughfare into town to find many smaller lodging options in the busy, densely populated center. Here, guesthouses and simple hotels put you within easy reach of the main temples.
