  • First things first. I am an atheist and did not visit the main shrine because I did not want to remove my shoes. All the shops right from the bottom of the 1400 odd stairs (and there is literally one ...  more »

  • "Jivdani Temple" is one of the well known sacred temple located on the top of the mountain near Virar east. Distance from Virar railway station to temple is around 2.5 km. Sharing auto service is available to & from virar railway station.. They say temple closes at 8 pm. "Ropeway service" is available but I think its in time slot... people often prefer climbing stairs.. keep your footwears at the ground.. as nobody climbs stairs wearing them.. it takes long time to reach top, better keep waterbottle along.. On the left side of ground stairs, theres Ganeshji's temple.. theres no trimurti devi's like we see at mumbai mahalaxmi temple or at Vajreshwari temple... theres only one idol of Jivdani ma... Once you reach even topper to the left there are two temples of "Mahakali mata" & "Barodi Mata" ... To the right side theres temple of gomata with calf. It has some legend behind it.. Some exotic birds are kept there... Beware of black faced monkeys , they wander openly around.. Cool breeze tempts you to take nap... view of the city is amazing from here.. Before leaving temple area at the exit , theres "Prasad counter : coconut burfi" (chargable)..
  • Jai mata di
  • Jivdani Mata Hindu temple is higher from ground level.. you have reach with the stairs..some trouble if you have some problems of walking from long feet..but once you have reach there you get the awesome view of virar and Jivdani mata.
  • U can view Virar city from top of the mountain. Maa jivdani darsan is one of challenge . For darsan u have to climb a mountain via stairs......
  • A strongly sacred place for the devotees and great hiking spot if you take more adventurous and scenic back-route from panch payari
