  • The fort is a very small one but very neatly maintained. It is easily accessible as it is on the main road from leading from Muthalapozhi (another tourist attraction). There are stairs that lead to the top of the fort, from where the sea can be seen (although the view is marred by the multitude of homes). There is a small well in the centre. The lawn is also well maintained. The fort will attract anyone, enthusing the history buffs more. There is a lighthouse very near by (hardly 50m away). The timings of the lighthouse are between 3pm and 5pm. A fee of Rs 10 is charged as entry fee into the lighthouse while the entry to the fort is free.
  • Well maintained area. There's nothing much to see though. The caretaker is a pleasant chap and would be more than happy to fill you in on the history of the place.
  • It was around 10 to 12km ride from varkala. We rented our vehicle so we didn't have trouble reaching place all you have to do is just follow the google maps. The fort open at 9.00 am and closes around 5.00 pm. No entry charges. It was such a beautiful fort i have ever seen. Though no charges were collected it was maintained to the perfection. It is a square shaped fort that gives some awesome sea view one side and the view of the village the other side. Overall a must visit for history lovers and photo fanatics.
  • Great place to walk. Reasonably well maintained. But honestly nothing much to see though. But you can read the history of the place and there's also a lighthouse nearby which can be accessed if you pay a small admission fee of rs10 per person and 20 for mobile camera/ camera. The view from the lighthouse is great
  • Well maintained fort. Beautiful views inside. Open from 8am - 6pm. No charges.
