One of the more modern temples of India, Tibetan Temple is a place that follows Therevada Buddhist faith. Built by Anagarika Dharmapala, who was born into the aristocratic Buddhist family. He also founded the Mahabodhi Society that also preserves the site. Upon entering, notice the main shrine called ‘Mulagandakuti’ where the Buddha used to stay during his visits to Sarnath and gave sermons to his five disciples.
