Where to stay in Varanasi

The old city of Varanasi has a long history of pilgrimage and tourism, and its range of accommodations has developed to a high degree to meet the vast demand from across India and further afield. Perhaps the most interesting and atmospheric place to stay can be found in the area surrounding the ghats on the west bank of the river. You can find an eclectic mix of simple hotels and guesthouses all the way from this point up to the main train station. North of the station sit the most luxurious of the city's accommodations, with views of the tributary that runs through the north, and a range of additional facilities.

  • Golden statue of lord Buddha located inside lust green compound. Temple made in thai style. Must visit, no entry fee. Precaution: Don't hier any guide here. Even unknown person can roam and understand all the places.
  • Located in the same campus as Giant Buddha. This place is apt for meditation. Temple is well built and hosts a golden statue of Lord Buddha. Surrounded by lush green park, its a good tourist location as well. Open from sunrise to sunset. For entering the temple you need to leave your footwear outside.
  • Inside the park where the Temple is located there's also a Giant Buddha's statue. It's Good place to relax and meditate. Lord Buddha bless us all.
  • This is an awesome place and quite peaceful with the statue of lord Buddha..
  • Excellent place. Peaceful. Be aware of guides ...they are going to ask Rs 10 tip and its too embarrassing...
