Driving along the dam catchment area is a memorable one. Excellent views around the dam. It will ve better if PWD develops park there for tourist

Excellent place, must visit atleast once while you are tour around Pollachi ot Valparai. PWD guest house was a good place with rooms facility to stay near the dam. You should plan in advance for visit... read more »
Nice dam with good greenery.... I visited this place on my way from Athirappilli falls to Valparai. The dam was didn't open for vistors..
The Napa valley of india ..on the way to athirappaly falls..not much of water..Dam was closed due to maintenance in nirar dam
Located in valparai athirapaly route.not much water now. Not allowed inside Dan also. You can play in park with kids. Might look good if there is water. Road is fantastic
Dam is really nice with thick forest which lies in the border of Kerala and Tamil nadu & the ride is totally awsome
