  • A good place for spending time with family on weekends. Although I spend more time with friends observing birds from the bridge. Excellent place for small children. The place has a very pleasant atmosphere early in the morning and is filled soothing music with people jogging on the tracks, exercising out in the garden as well as in the open gym. There is no entry fee for the park but there is an entry fee of rupees 10 for the zoo as well as the museum. The zoo has been divided into a bird section, a tiger section and a bear section consisting of a wide variety of birds and animals and the museum has a rich collection of art, paintings and sculptures. The river Vishwamitri also passes through this place providing people with astounding sightings of the crocodiles. Amphitheater proves to be a good platform for showcasing young talents and addressing public issues. The Planetarium provides an attractive and an educational view of the stars, planets and constellations. The garden also has a souvenir shop which leaves you exploring the magnificence of the city.
  • A very large, beautifully green Park with variety of trees, large green spaces with statues, walking paths a very nice zoo, museums and a small train taking us through the garden. Some rides and ice-cream parlour too. This is what a good ruler can give to its citizens for recreation. A highly popular place for citizens and visitors. The train ride is a bit expensive and could be made more affordable for all.
  • It has free entry. Usually crowded in early morning for walk and in evening for strolling. It is the Biggest garden in western India. it is a delightful place for photographers and nature lovers. Also has play area for children. It also has a museum and a zoo in the premises, the entry fees for which is 10-20 per head. An planetarium is currently under construction. One can also board the toy train and have a round of the whole garden.
  • A very beautiful place worth a visit. The museum is an amazing place to see. Wonderful toy train ride for children. The health museum, and aquarium needs more attention though. Even the zoo can do more better with a better management.
  • MUST VISIT. This place has zoo, aquarium and museum and picture gallery all nearby. This place has mini train and car to travel within. Zoo has wide range of birds which includes parrots, eagles, kites, cranes, emu, peacock. Aquarium is small and has limited fish and some are wrongly labeled. And has additional charges for photography. Museum and picture gallery is the best and must place to visit. It has huge collection starting from old age stones, coins, cloth, sculpture, stuffed birds and animals hunted by the King, marine animals like octopus, crab, lobster, star fish, etc. Best place to visit in Vadodara.

Where to stay in Vadodara

Hotels dominate the accommodation options in Vadodara, while apartment shares and room rentals provide alternative options. Affordable hotels and lodgings lie scattered around town; check about the registration procedure prior to arrival. A number of budget hostels cluster near the railway station, though, again, you'll need to check in advance whether they take non-Indian customers due to complicated police registration procedures.
