  • A quiet museum, near the Laxmi Vilas palace. A lot of history captured in its exhibits. The sculptures, paintings and art pieces were well maintained and well displayed.  more »
  • It's a beautiful building with parts of the palace open to the public and it is also in use as a residence for the royal family. Great heritage site in Vadodara.
  • An amazing display of art collected by the Baroda royalty. Also on display is the small live-steam garden railway locomotive that used to haul the prince and princess from the palace to their school. The glass in front of most exhibits reflects a glare and prevents a clear vision of the artefact. Do not miss this museum.
  • Only a part of the palace (only the Ground floor) is open for viewing. It will be nice if the other floors or part of them are also displayed for History enthusiasts.
  • The museum is located in lush green estate of the Lukshmi Vilas Palace and you can enter from gate 3 or 4. This museum building previously was a school constructed in 1876 to the young Maharaja Sayajirao III who was adopted at the age of 12 as the ruler of Baroda. Museum boasts to have the Finest collection of Raja Ravi Varma (Father of Modern Indian Art) paintings and other European artifacts such as curios, furniture, turbans, paintings and so on from the 19th and 20th century from different Palaces of the Gaekwad rulers.
  • Nice ancient palace but try to show whole place not just ground floor ..
