Where to stay in Vadodara

Hotels dominate the accommodation options in Vadodara, while apartment shares and room rentals provide alternative options. Affordable hotels and lodgings lie scattered around town; check about the registration procedure prior to arrival. A number of budget hostels cluster near the railway station, though, again, you'll need to check in advance whether they take non-Indian customers due to complicated police registration procedures.

  • Very well maintained. There is an audio guide available for RS 250 I think. It is included in the entrance ticket cost. The entire tour takes only about 1 hour with loads of interesting information and interviews. The staff over there is great and helpful. One of the most amazing rooms is the armoury room and I spent most of my time there.
  • Amazing Palace. Well-maintained, this palace is still the residence of the royal family. There is everything you want to see in a palace and it is said to be one of the richest palace of ancient India. Audio Guide helps us with the what's what of the huge palace. Guide are also available. There is a refreshment centre as well. The greenery sets this palace apart from the other palaces. And the Golf Club steals the show as well. Infrastructure is inspired by finest places of the world and developed by the best architectures of those times. There is a Weapon Room where ancient original Swords are preserved adding to the richness of the palace. The Darbar Hall has original throne and the minute fine details carved in the windows in this hall depicts a lot about the Indian Culture. It takes about one-and-half hour to see all the places.
  • The palace is just magnificent! Truly u have to visit this place if you ever wanna say u visited vadodara. They give a really good and easily understandable audio tour,a nice little refreshment corner in the palace with reasonable rates , and the staff is very friendly. True heritage of Vadodara.
  • Beautiful palace. Worth visiting. You can opt for guided tour. And look at the entire palace at your convenience.
  • Beautiful palace and museum. Must go place for visitors. Audio guide is available in many languages and it's really useful and well narrated.
