  • I spent an hour here. This is Lord Shiva's temple which is very uniquely built. It was built and run by the Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (EME) corps of the Indian Army. This temple is a major attraction for both tourist and devotees in Vadodara, Gujarat. It is one of its kind in the world. Before going to visit everyone must bring a valid identity card with them without ID proof you can't go inside.
  • The Temple's structure is simply brilliant. It is completely maintained by Army. At the entrance, you will have to deposit your I.D. before you proceed to visit the temple. There is a separate car parking just next to the temple so people won't have to walk much.
  • EME temple is built by the Indian military and it provides a beautiful and inclusive face of India! Its architecture is unique which consists of elements of many religions and many other traditional carvings. A must go if you are an art lover.
  • Nice and serene place. Very well maintained by the EME Corps of Indian Army. Many small temples around the place apart from the magnificent Shiva temple. Aadhaar card is mandatory as proof of identity and any one person should have it in the group.
  • Very interesting and must see place. Very Well maintained by the Army staff of EME school. Symbolic place of all religions. you must have your adhar card as I'd proof for the entry.

Where to stay in Vadodara

Hotels dominate the accommodation options in Vadodara, while apartment shares and room rentals provide alternative options. Affordable hotels and lodgings lie scattered around town; check about the registration procedure prior to arrival. A number of budget hostels cluster near the railway station, though, again, you'll need to check in advance whether they take non-Indian customers due to complicated police registration procedures.
