The large complex features carved stone archways, statues, and a matha area resembling a living ashram, where daily devotion rituals take place. It was fulfilling expertise visiting Shri Krishna Mandir. Preserved in much of its original original structure and form resembling a Muth or Ashram. The Krishna Matha was founded by theVaishnavite saint Shri Madhwacharya (1238-1317) in the 13th century. The Krishna Mandir is surrounded by several Mathas , mainly the Mathas established by Shri Madhwacharya.
This is a beautiful temple at the centre of the city! The attraction here is the Kanakana Kindi (Small window) which lies under Kanakana Gopura which has a history attached to it!!
Very old temple. There will be Bajana's, Pooja's and meditations going on. There is a story of Kanakadasa to be heard. There is a viewing hole called as "Kanakana Kindi". It is said that the god himself turned to give kanaka a visibility.
