Kapu Beach, Udupi
Categories: Beaches, Nature & Parks, Outdoor Activities
Enjoy the quiet, unspoiled atmosphere of Kapu Beach, where you can walk the soft, white sands as the Arabian Sea pounds powerfully on eroded, rocky outcrops. Observe majestic palms leaning in from the edge of the beach, and colorful boats resting on the beach, ready to bear fishers out onto the waters. Be sure to check out the lighthouse standing vigil on the boulders: climb to the top for sweeping views across the beach. Put Kapu Beach and other Udupi attractions into our Udupi tour planner, and watch your holiday take shape.

“Picturesque beach” The highlight of this beach is the lighthouse. A view from the top, after climbing a spiral flight of stairs inside the light-house, leads to an opening that one can tour and get a 360 degree view of the beach. The circular path at the top is fenced by a railing but at that height, the wind gushes in and you feel you might get blown away. Another interesting thing about the light house is that one can see the entire life scale physical model of the rotating lamp and the mechanism that operates it. The beach is a beauty in itself. Its virgin soft sands will mesmerize and the setting sun will paint a picture perfect visual. A must visit place in Udupi Visited December 2015
Beautiful place to relax...Nice and clean area. The light house at the beach added a pleasant experience to the already awesome beach. Facilities were also good and maintained properly by the authority. Will recommend to anybody visiting Manipal/Udupi.
Very clean beach, adequate no. of lifeguards, not very crowded (even on a saturday). Easily reachable from Mangalore.
Kaup is a clean beach generally crowded on the weekends, drawing the college crowd from neighbouring Manipal. Am added attraction is its 110 year lighthouse which is open to the public for a birds eye view from 4:00 to 6:00 pm
best Beach To Sit And Enjoy , Water Is Not So Good To Swim As Sea Plants Are Common With Sea Crabs..
