Built in 1651, Jagdish Temple represents a religious complex famous for its Indo-Aryan style of architecture. The three-storied temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu stands 150 m (492 ft) from the northern entrance of the city palace. Examine the carved pillars, decorated ceilings, and painted walls as you walk its halls. The 24 m (79 ft) high spire, festooned with sculptures of dancers, musicians, elephants, and horsemen, dominates the skyline. • Located near by City Palace. Jagannath swami temple. Very rich in architecture. Roads are congested to reach here on big vehicles. Small cars can be reached with difficulty. There are leather based crafting shops for shopping lovers.
  • Beautiful Hindu temple in the heart of Udaipur, it is one of the most important tourist attractions in town and a favorite of both local (Indian) visitors and tourists. It was completed in 1651. Interesting place to spend an hour or two!!!
  • This Hindu temple built in mid-seventeenth century at the heart of Udaipur tourist centre, a short walking distance from north entrance of City Palace, is certainly worth a visit. It is open early in the morning until late at night, but please bear in mind it is closed to the public for 2 hours from 2 pm to 4 pm, a timeslot that visitors might like to see it just after their City Palace tour. There is no entrance fee to this attraction. Most visitors are impressed by numerous wonderfully and intricatedly marble structures of this sacred shrine. Also a good place to take photos. However due to its, steep angle with all the surrounding buildings in very close adjacency, you need a professional camera to capture a photo of its full view. Your phone camera won't do the trick. Need to take off shoes to walk a steep flight of steps to the middle of this temple - the highest point you can reach.
  • 400 years Old Temple inside city near City Palace, No entrance Fee and good to spend some time here, it's open till 10pm. Roads r narrow so best to walk there.
  • A great place to visit while in Udaipur. Live chanting and Bhajan will make your time pleasant while visiting temple.
