Fateh Prakash Palace, Udaipur

4.1
Admire the flamboyant style of Fateh Prakash Palace, a huge palace complex and a heritage hotel on the shore of the picturesque Lake Pichola. Numerous canopies, towers, ornate turrets, domes, and cupolas add a touch of flair to this impressive complex--one of the biggest in the country--which offers views of the lake from carved balconies and through large, arched windows. Ornate interiors, period furniture, miniature paintings, and various personal belongings of the Mewar royal family will give you a sense of the splendor of the 400-year-old palace. Still owned by the royal family, the hotel is privately operated, hosting ceremonial dinners and corporate events. • Very welcoming and the view of the lake can't be beat. Waitstaff are welcoming and attentive. Having a pass to the royal grounds is another plus. Rooms could possibly use some updating but otherwise nice
  • No good doesn’t even feel like I was in a palace everything needs upgrading. Bad customer service. They stole money from my friends wallet and did nothing about it but very quick to give the bill upon check out. Fridge wasn’t stocked when we checked in and the heater wasn’t working and we had two little ones. Food menu wasn’t at all great. Could never get through to reception or in room dining every time it was busy. it’s written 5 star but the service defiently was not at all 5 star more like 1 or 2 star accomodation. Worst experience, service I have ever come across. Would definitely not recommend anyone to stay here. The only good thing about it was the view outside my room that’s pretty much it.
  • Awesome experience...very good hospitality..and food is super licious yummy..really enjoyed...highly recommended
  • The Fateh Prakash Place (Heritage Hotel) is located on the eastern shores of Lake Pichola and near City Place Udaipur Excellent location and amazing architecture built by Maharana Fateh Singh.
  • Great Palace hotel, dining in open restaurant on lake a must do experience, specially for dinner on winter.
